But let me share a little secret of my routine. As a 30-year-old working woman, I’ve also started integrating protein supplements into my daily regimen. Why, you ask? 

Protein is a vital nutrient that plays a key role in maintaining and repairing the body. For a 30-year-old woman like me, it can help in managing weight by keeping me full and satisfied, reducing the urge to snack on high-calorie, high-sugar foods. This is particularly beneficial for working women who may have less time to prepare healthy meals.  But that's not all.

I saw immediate muscle repair and growth. After a sweat-filled session at the gym or a walk, your muscles need adequate protein to repair and grow. Protein supplements can help ensure your body gets what it needs.

When I am not working out, or exercising, proteins keep me full. Adding a scoop of protein in your morning smoothie or oats can keep you full for longer, keeping hunger pangs at bay. A high-protein diet can help increase metabolism and promote fat burning.

Including protein supplements in my daily routine has significantly aided with my training and recovery, helping me stay energized throughout my busy workdays. When considering taking protein supplements, it's crucial to understand that they are not a replacement for a balanced diet but a way to add more value to it. So, let’s dive a little deeper into why protein supplements have become a significant part of my routine.

Plant-based proteins are derived from various sources such as peas, brown rice etc. They contain essential amino acids, although not always in the same quantity as animal proteins. Essential amino acids are those that the body cannot produce on its own and must be obtained from the diet. So other than building your body and help it grow, protein can also contribute to healthy skin, hair, and nails. These are made up of protein, so adequate protein intake can help keep them strong and healthy. This can be particularly beneficial for women in their 30s, who may begin to notice changes in their skin and hair due to aging.

In addition to protein and fiber, plant proteins often contain various vitamins and minerals. These include iron, zinc, and magnesium, which are vital for many bodily functions including energy production, immune function, and bone health. I picked this protein and I have not looked back.

Protein is a crucial nutrient for women in midlife, as it plays a vital role in maintaining overall health and wellness. It's essential for the growth and repair of tissues, the production of enzymes and hormones, and the support of a healthy immune system.
